- High inflation with increases in VAT squeezed the pockets of Colombian consumers who are just beginning to absorb the effects when making purchases
- 44% of the Consumer Basket was impacted by the increase in VAT from 16% to 19%. The prices of products with 19% increased by an average of +7%, far from the 3% increase suffered by the prices of the basket and the 2% of products with 5% VAT. The most impacted categories were, among others, juices, depilatory products, soups and creams.
