Colombian Peso: Short-term equilibrium based on still challenging external and fiscal fundamentals
The exchange rate in Colombia has stabilized around COP$3,660 per dollar since mid-January, in an international environment that has been favorable for emerging markets. The depreciation of the global dollar and increased risk appetite in Latin America have supported the local exchange rate, allowing the Colombian peso to remain at relatively low levels compared to those projected for the end of 2025.
